Camp
Each year it is hoped that an off-site residential trip can be held. A variety of activities are provided and they aim to build teamwork, communication and social skills.
In 2024, Year 6 went to Grittleton House – What a great couple of days away we had!
We got covered in mud in the Buggy Building challenge and raced down a slippery muddy hill, worked together as a team to solve a variety of problems and completed Mission X which involved walking across a slippery low rope course.
Some of the highlights of the trip include rolling around and having our legs up in the air in the Body Zorbs, scoring a bullseye in Archery and using our last bits of energy jumping around in Aeroball.
Our adventurous activities included:
- Day 1: Crate Climbing Challenge, Sensory Adventure and Sports
- Day 2: Body Zorbing, Problem-Solving, Archery and Quiz
- Day 3: Aeroball, Buggy Building, Mission X and Disco
In 2023, Year 6 went to Kilve Court – What a great week away!
We abseiled down from a tall tower block, learnt how to shoot with a bow and arrow and completed a muddy mountain bike obstacle course.
Some highlights of the trip included getting covered in mud during buggy building, splashing around in the rock pools during our beach walk and managing to reach the top of the climbing wall.
As an example, the schedule of activities may include:
- Day 1: Abseiling, Archery and Night Walk
- Day 2: Beach Walk, Climbing Wall and Grass Sledging
- Day 3: Mountain Biking and Fantasy Trail
- Day 4: Buggy Racing, Stream Walk, Games and Disco
- Day 5: Rifle Shooting and High Ropes
